Under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Awqaf held its twenty-fourth meeting.

On Wednesday, the 18th of Jumada Al-Akhirah, 1444 AH, His Excellency the Minister of Finance, who also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Awqaf, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, chaired the twenty-fourth meeting of the Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by the Governor of the Authority, Mr. Imad bin Saleh Al-Kharashi, and other board members.

During the meeting, the board discussed several agenda items, including the formation of the Sharia Committee within the Authority. This committee includes distinguished Sharia experts and aims to support the Authority's efforts in developing endowment products and structures in accordance with Sharia principles. Additionally, the meeting addressed the Sharia rulings related to some endowment issues under the supervision of the Authority.

The board also approved the budget for endowment expenses for the fiscal year 1444-1442 AH (2023 AD), ensuring that it meets the conditions of the endowers and fulfills developmental needs.

The board was briefed on the progress of the endowment sector's strategic project and the update of the Authority's strategy. It emphasized the project's significance and its pivotal role in empowering and developing the endowment sector, as well as enhancing its contributions to various areas of development.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of the endowment sector and its role as an active participant in development plans and programs, contributing to the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
