Building on the General Authority for Awqaf's role in enhancing the efficiency of custodians, qualifying those working in the Waqf sector, empowering them, improving their practices, and investing in human capital, the Authority, in partnership with the Saudi Judicial Scientific Society "Qadaa," announces the launch of the second edition of the Waqf Advisor Fellowship Program. This program will positively contribute to improving the custodianship system and maximizing its impact.

The (Waqf Advisor Fellowship) program aims to equip custodians with skills and competencies in the practical application of Awqaf, develop their skills in establishing Awqaf and drafting Waqf documents, familiarize them with the judicial systems and procedures related to Awqaf, and enhance their capabilities in the fields of grants, Waqf expenditures, management, and investments, while simplifying the accounting principles relevant to Waqf.

The program offers custodians numerous benefits, including: gaining insights into the most important knowledge and practical and skillful practices in the field of Awqaf, raising awareness of the applications of Awqaf, opening new horizons of opportunities and capabilities in the field of Awqaf, and meeting the requirement of knowledge and qualification stipulated in Article 5 and Article 6 of the Regulation of Custodianship Activities, through training in 9 courses, totaling 64 training hours over 18 training days, delivered by a select group of experts and practitioners in the field of Awqaf.

It is worth noting that the General Authority for Awqaf is working to strengthen the Waqf sector, its governance, and preservation, develop it, and raise awareness of it through the launch of innovative Waqf products and services offered to beneficiaries, making it a pioneer in sustainable development locally and globally. This is achieved by fulfilling the conditions of the Waqifs, implementing best practices, enacting regulations and bylaws that will enhance, develop, and empower Waqf work, and maximize its impact on economic and social development and social solidarity.
